Kapil Sharma is a very famous comedian of India. The magic of his art brings smiles to millions of faces and people learn to laugh openly. Apart from being a comedian, Kapil is also an actor, anchor and a good singer. After hard struggle and hard work in life, he has achieved this position today. In his early days, he has given many hit shows on TV which include Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show.

He has also hosted many shows. Kapil has been fond of acting since childhood. At the age of only four, he gave his performance on the stadium. If Kapil, who is fond of singing, had gone to the house of any of his relatives for the wedding, he would have started singing there. Also, he loved to make people laugh by telling jokes.

Birth and education

Kapil Sharma was born on 2 April 1981 in Amritsar, Punjab. But he stays in Mumbai to run his show. Kapil did his schooling from Shri Ram Ashram Senior Secondary School in Amritsar. Whereas graduation has been done from Khalsa College of Punjab.

Early life –

Kapil’s father’s name was Jitendra Kumar Punj. He was working as a head constable in Punjab Police. His mother’s name is Janaki Devi and she is a domestic lady. Apart from this, Kapil has a brother, a younger sister, sister-in-law and a niece. Kapil’s wife’s name is Ginni Chatrath and they also have a daughter. In the year 2004, his father died due to cancer.

After the death of his father, his job went to Kapil’s elder brother. But due to the very low salary, it was impossible to run them home. Kapil Sharma had to struggle a lot in the initial days. Due to lack of money, he had to work in a PCO as well. He earned name, fame and money only on the basis of his hard work.

Personal life –

Kapil Sharma’s efforts to save animals and protect their rights are appreciated. Kapil along with all his cast participated in PETA campaign to save homeless dogs and cats. In the year 2014, Kapil adopted a retired dog of Mumbai Police to show his love for animals. He has also appealed to the whole country to save the elephants suffering from atrocities.

Career –

Kapil started his career in the year 2007 with the TV show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He got a reward of Rs 10 lakh for winning this show. After this, he also worked in the Punjabi show Hasde Hasande Raho coming on MH One channel. In the year 2008, she worked in the show Ustaad Ka Ustad. Then he also participated in Sony’s Comedy Circus in season 6. He also hosted season 6 of the dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. In the year 2013, he made his show Comedy Night with Kapil. This show was also very successful.

During the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2014, he was selected by the Delhi Election Commission for the brand ambassador. In 2015, he got the opportunity to host the 60th Filmfare with filmmaker Karan Johar. Kapil was also the presenter of the fourth season of the Celebrity Cricket League in 2014. He came as a guest in season 8 of the show Kaun Banega Crore Pati.

Anupam Kher has appeared in the show ‘The Anupam Kher Show’ as a guest. In the year 2016, his own show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ came on Sony channel. It got a lot of love from the people. Apart from this, Kapil has also appeared in DID in 2015, Sharma Hans Baliye in 2009, Indian Idol Junior, Farah Ki Daawat, The Voice India and Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi in guest appearance.

Work in films

Kapil Sharma has also worked in films. In the year 2015, he had a film ‘Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karu’, in which he acted as an actor. Then in 2017 he worked as an actor in Firangi. In the year 2011, he did cameos of Kapil Thakur’s son in ‘Understand the feelings’. Whereas in 2015, ABCD 2 also did a cameo of his own show Comedy Nights with Kapil.

Awards and Achievements –

On the strength of his hard work, Kapil Sharma has achieved his place in the world of Bollywood and television. Along with being a best comedian, he has also got the award for the most entertaining artist. He has got the highest award for Comedy Nights with Kapil Show.
