Holi, the festival of colors and joy, is celebrated with great enthusiasm across India. However, this year, a remark by renowned choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan sparked massive controversy on social media.

During a reality show, Farah allegedly referred to Holi as a “festival of Chhapris”—a slang term often used derogatorily. Her statement quickly went viral, drawing sharp criticism from netizens. Among those outraged was Vikas Pathak, aka Hindustani Bhau, a former Bigg Boss contestant, who not only condemned Farah’s remark but also took legal action by filing an FIR at Khar Police Station.

Hindustani Bhau Demands Apology, Calls Out Bollywood for Insulting Hindu Culture

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Hindustani Bhau strongly opposed Farah’s statement. According to IANS, he said,

“Holi has been called a festival of Chapri people on a reality show. Is Holi really the festival of Chapri people? Farah Khan has been in this industry for years, she knows what Sanatan Dharma is. Yet, she chose to disrespect it. Why?”

Bhau further accused Bollywood of repeatedly disrespecting Hindu traditions and portraying Hinduism in a negative light in movies and public statements.

“From our Prime Minister Narendra Modi to saints, sages, and 100 crore Indians celebrate Holi with pride. Does that make all of us Chapris? Bollywood has a history of mocking our Sanatan Dharma, our Gods, and our traditions. Time and again, they have shown Hindu culture in a poor light, and no one dares to question them because they have power, money, and influence.”

Legal Action Taken Against Farah Khan

Hindustani Bhau did not just stop at criticizing Farah Khan—he also took legal steps. He confirmed that he had filed a complaint at Khar Police Station, urging the authorities to register a case against Farah and ensure strict action.

“I have officially filed an application at Khar Police Station demanding legal action against her. She must be held accountable for this insult to our Dharma. I will ensure that justice is served, both legally and in my way”

As the controversy continues to escalate, many are now awaiting Farah Khan’s response. Will she issue an apology, or will this matter take a more serious legal turn? Only time will tell.
