John Abraham’s latest film, The Diplomat, made its theatrical debut on Holi, bringing to life a gripping real-life rescue mission. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film tells the story of an Indian woman, Uzma Ahmed (played by Sadia Khateeb), who falls into a trap of deceitful marriage and gets stuck in Pakistan. John Abraham portrays Indian diplomat J.P. Singh, who plays a crucial role in bringing her back safely.

Despite high anticipation, The Diplomat had a slow start at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected ₹4 crore on its first day. This opening is comparable to John Abraham’s previous films, including Veda (₹4+ crore), Satyameva Jayate 2 (₹3.2 crore), Attack-Part 1 (₹3.8 crore), and Mumbai Saga (₹2.8 crore). However, industry experts predict an upward trend in the coming days.

The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Kumud Mishra, Sharib Hashmi, Amitoj Mann, Jagjit Sandhu, Bhavani Mujamil, and Vidhatri Bandi. The trailer, released earlier, received an enthusiastic response from fans, increasing excitement for the film’s release.

With positive word-of-mouth and John Abraham’s dedicated fanbase, The Diplomat is expected to gain momentum at the box office in the days ahead.
