Luck is not favouring Akshay Kumar, who has been craving a hit for a long time. His latest release, ‘Sarfira’, hit theatres with high expectations but failed to meet audience expectations. Although the film saw a rise in earnings over the weekend, its earnings again declined on Monday. Here’s how much ‘Sarfira’ has collected on its fifth day of release.

Fifth Day Earnings of ‘Sarfira’

‘Sarfira’ is the official Hindi remake of the 2020 hit Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’. Despite the buzz generated by its trailer, the film received a cold response upon release. It had a slow start but picked up speed on Saturday and Sunday. However, the collection declined again on weekdays.

  • The film collected 2.5 crores on its first day, 4.25 crores on the second day, 5.25 crores on the third day, and 1.45 crores on the fourth day.
  • According to early trend reports from Saccanilk, ‘Sarfira’ earned 1.75 crores on Tuesday, the fifth day of its release.
  • With this, the total collection of ‘Sarfira’ in five days stands at Rs 15.20 crores.

Struggling to Recover the Budget

‘Sarfira’ is not getting a favorable response from the audience and has only earned 15 crores in five days. The film faces competition from ‘Indian 2’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, affecting its earnings. Given the current pace, it seems difficult for ‘Sarfira’ to recover even half of its budget. It will be interesting to see how long this film survives at the box office. Notably, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan, and Paresh Rawal in key roles.
