South Indian superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s latest film Greatest of All Time (GOAT) has taken the box office by storm, winning over audiences and raking in massive earnings. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, GOAT was made on a substantial budget and is living up to the hype with impressive collections.
Released on September 5 across multiple screens worldwide, GOAT received an overwhelming response from fans right from day one. After a phenomenal start, the film continued its box office domination on day two and is still drawing huge crowds on its third day (Saturday, September 7).
Day 3 Box Office Collection: A Strong Hold
By Saturday night (10:20 pm), reports from Sacknilk indicate that GOAT had amassed ₹34.15 crore, showing no signs of slowing down. This impressive figure adds to its already stellar collection from the previous days.
Vijay’s GOAT Crosses ₹100 Crore Milestone
GOAT opened with a blockbuster ₹44 crore on its first day, setting the tone for a solid weekend. However, day two saw a 42% dip in earnings, bringing in ₹25.5 crore at the Indian box office. On its third day, GOAT added another ₹20.86 crore to its tally, bringing the total domestic collection to a whopping ₹103.65 crore within just three days. These are early estimates, and the final figures might vary slightly.
Impact on ‘Stree 2’
The success of GOAT is not without its consequences for other releases. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 has been struggling to hold its ground at the box office, and now, with GOAT pulling in massive crowds, the losses for Stree 2 have become more apparent. The Hindi version of GOAT collected ₹1.85 crore on its first day and ₹1.4 crore on the second day, overshadowing the earnings of Stree 2.
The box office battle continues, but GOAT is undoubtedly emerging as a winner, proving that Thalapathy Vijay’s star power remains unmatched.
