Vicky Kaushal’s Grand Arrival in Jaipur

Recently, Vicky Kaushal kickstarted the film’s promotions in Jaipur, greeting fans with his signature “Khamma Ghani Jaipur” Expressing his deep connection with the city, he shared, “I cannot describe the enthusiasm that comes after coming to Jaipur. It is a tradition now—every new film of mine begins its promotions from here.”

7 Months of Intense Training and a 25 Kg Weight Gain

Talking about his intense preparation for the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Vicky revealed that he underwent 7 months of rigorous training and gained 25 kg to match the warrior’s imposing persona.

“When I was offered this film, I was unsure how I would do justice to this character. My director told me, ‘You have to look like a lion.’ That made me nervous because Sambhaji Maharaj truly had the aura of a lion. I thought to myself, ‘This is impossible”.

But instead of backing down, Vicky took it as a challenge. Over the next 7 months, he dedicated himself to building his physique, training in horse riding, and fully immersing himself in the character.

4 Years of Research to Bring History Alive

The journey of Chhaava began four years ago with extensive research on the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Vicky shared, “The script itself took about two and a half years to develop, followed by my intense training period. The shooting lasted another 7 months, and finally, this grand film was ready.”

A Tribute to a Legendary Warrior

Vicky Kaushal, a proud Maharashtrian, grew up learning about the valor of the Maratha Empire. He noted, “Everyone knows about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, but his son, Sambhaji Maharaj, was also a fearless warrior. Portraying his character was a huge challenge and an honor for me.”

Directed by Laxman Utekar, known for films like Mimi, Luka Chuppi, and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Chhaava promises to be a grand cinematic experience. With historical depth, intense performances, and stunning visuals, this film is set to leave a lasting impact.
