It’s been over a week since Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa hit the big screens, but their box office performance has been dismal. Competing against Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2, which continues to rake in impressive numbers, both films are struggling to stay afloat. Let’s take a closer look at the ninth-day earnings of these box office disasters.

‘Khel Khel Mein’ Falters on Day 9

Despite a strong star cast including Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, and Amy Virk, Khel Khel Mein has failed to attract audiences. After a decent start, the film’s earnings have steadily declined, making it a box office flop. The film, which was hoped to revive Akshay Kumar’s career, has instead added to his list of recent disappointments. The first week’s collection stood at Rs 19.35 crore, but on the ninth day (second Friday), the film managed to earn only Rs 62 lakhs, bringing its total collection to Rs 19.97 crore.

‘Vedaa’ Struggles Even More

Vedaa, starring John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh, has fared even worse. Despite an action-packed storyline, the film’s collections have plummeted since its release. Made on a budget of Rs 50 crore, Vedaa is finding it hard to reach even Rs 20 crore. The first-week earnings totaled Rs 17.6 crore, but on the ninth day, it could only bring in Rs 22 lakhs, raising its total to a mere Rs 17.82 crore.

Both Films Face Box Office Disaster

Both Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa have been massive disappointments at the box office, barely scraping together a few lakhs each day. The stiff competition from Stree 2 has significantly hurt their performance. With no major releases this Friday, these films might see a slight uptick in earnings, but they are unlikely to recover from their disastrous start.
