Thalapathy Vijay’s latest release, GOAT, has taken theaters by storm, with fans celebrating the film’s grand opening. However, what truly sent audiences into a frenzy was a special appearance by former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni.
For weeks, rumors swirled about Dhoni making a cameo in GOAT, and with the film’s release, the speculations were confirmed. During a key scene, Dhoni is shown entering Chennai’s M Chidambaram Stadium in a Chennai Super Kings jersey. The sight of “Captain Cool” on the big screen sparked immense excitement, transforming the theater into a stadium-like atmosphere with fans whistling, clapping, and cheering.
In this iconic moment, Dhoni’s appearance is part of a live IPL match shown in the film, followed by Vijay himself entering the stadium in a yellow T-shirt, paying tribute to Chennai’s beloved CSK team.
Although GOAT is already a hit, there was a touch of disappointment for fans in the Hindi-speaking regions, as the film has yet to release in Hindi. Reports suggest that the Hindi version will hit screens in eight weeks, leaving fans eagerly awaiting its arrival.
