Chahat Khanna, known for her role in the popular serial Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, has shared some startling revelations about her personal life, which has been filled with ups and downs. After two failed marriages, the actress has now shed light on her past, including her conversion to Islam and the challenges she faced during her relationship with her second husband, Farhan Mirza.

Journey Through Two Marriages

Chahat first married Bharat Narsinghani in 2006, but their marriage ended within a few months. In 2013, she married Farhan Mirza, son of writer Shah Rukh Mirza, after converting to Islam. The couple had two daughters together before their relationship came to an end in 2018.

I Learned About Islam, But I’m Happy to Return to Sanatan Dharma

In a recent interview with Zoom, Chahat reflected on her decision to embrace Islam during her marriage to Farhan Mirza. While she does not regret converting, she expressed happiness about returning to her original faith, Sanatan Dharma. She explained, “I am not religious, but I am very spiritual. I respect all religions. During my marriage, I learned a lot about Islam, but I also believe in Jesus Christ and am a devotee of Kali and Krishna.”

Claims of Mental Harassment and Brainwashing

Chahat also addressed the mental strain she endured during her marriage. When asked if she was pressured or brainwashed into converting, she said she was unsure but admitted to being easily influenced. She recalled being told not to worship her God, something she now recognizes as wrong.
