When Rohit Shetty’s Singham debuted in 2011, no one could have predicted that it would evolve from just a film to a cultural phenomenon. Following its massive success, Singham Returns hit the screens in 2014, and now, a decade later, Singham Again is set to captivate audiences as part of Shetty’s cop universe. The promotional campaign for the movie has officially begun.

The Hype Around ‘Singham Again’ Begins

This time, along with Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor, new faces will light up Singham Again. Interestingly, the storyline intertwines with elements of the Ramayana. Recently, during a promotional event in Mumbai, Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn shared insights into the fan-favorite dialogue, “Aata Majhi Satakli,” originally delivered by Devgn in the first Singham movie, which has since become an iconic catchphrase.

The Story Behind ‘Aata Majhi Satakli’

When asked if he anticipated the phrase’s immense popularity, Shetty admitted, “We wrote dialogues to match the characters – this particular line was crafted in a Maharashtrian style for both Singham and the villain Jaikant Shikhare (played by Prakash Raj). It was meant to be a regular line, but it caught on like wildfire. Singham only says it once in the film, while the villain repeats it frequently. It was a simple line for us, but audiences loved it.”

‘Just Another Line’

Ajay Devgn echoed Shetty’s sentiment, adding, “At the time, ‘Aata Majhi Satakli’ was just another line. We rehearsed it without any idea that it would resonate so much with audiences. You never know which dialogue will strike a chord, but this one certainly did.”

Star-Cast of ‘Singham Again’

The film promises even more star power with the addition of Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff to the cast, while Arjun Kapoor steps in as the antagonist. Fans of the cop universe can also look forward to electrifying scenes featuring Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar.

This Diwali, Singham Again is all set to bring high-octane action and nostalgiato the big screen.
